Documentation

Certificate of Analysis

Every product ships with a batch-specific COA from an accredited, independent laboratory. Here's exactly what each document contains.

Compound Identity
Confirmed via LC-MS (Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry). Molecular weight must match the target peptide within instrument tolerance.
Purity Analysis (HPLC)
High-Performance Liquid Chromatography separates the sample into components. The target peak area as a percentage of total area gives the purity reading.
Endotoxin Screening
Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) assay measures bacterial endotoxin levels. Our standard is <0.5 EU/mg — well below the accepted research threshold.
Batch Traceability
Every COA carries a unique lot number, date of analysis, laboratory name, and analyst signature. The lot number on the vial label matches the COA for full chain of custody.

HPLC Purity Analysis

High-Performance Liquid Chromatography is the gold standard for peptide purity quantification. Here's how it works and how to read a chromatogram.

HPLC Chromatogram — BPC-157
UV 220nm Baseline
99.4% 0.3% 0.3% Retention Time (min) Absorbance (mAU) 0 5 10 15 20
1
Sample Dissolution
The lyophilized peptide is dissolved in a precise volume of mobile phase solvent for injection.
2
Column Separation
The sample passes through a C18 reverse-phase column under high pressure. Different molecules travel at different rates based on size and polarity.
3
UV Detection
A UV detector at 220nm measures absorbance as each component exits the column. Each peak on the chromatogram represents one separated component.
4
Area Integration
Software calculates the area under each peak. The target compound's area divided by total area gives the purity percentage. Our threshold: ≥99%.
Complementary Assays

Beyond Purity

Purity alone doesn't confirm identity or safety. These additional tests complete the analytical profile.

Mass Spectrometry
LC-MS measures the molecular weight of the peptide to confirm it is structurally the compound on the label. The observed mass is compared against the theoretical monoisotopic mass. A match within ±0.1 Da confirms identity.
Method ESI-LC-MS
Mass Accuracy ±0.1 Da
Result Type Confirmed / Failed
Endotoxin & Sterility
The Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) test detects gram-negative bacterial endotoxins. Peptides intended for reconstitution must meet stringent endotoxin limits to ensure research validity.
Method Kinetic LAL
Threshold <0.5 EU/mg
Sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL
